youth development

YWCA St. Paul Home Page
The Youth Development Programs of the YWCA St. Paul are committed to excellence - and to positively impacting the lives of children, youth and their families. Our targeted programs are designed to enhance the quality of life of those we serve. This is done by providing quality programming that will build and enhance the skills and abilities of those whose lives we touch.

YWCA St. Paul Youth Development Programs include:
  • Youth Achievers Program (YAP) increases resilience, builds coping skills, and enhances the ability of youth (girls and boys) ages 8-14 who typically don't experience an emphasis placed on their strengths, skills and abilities to grow into healthy, productive, peaceful adults.

    • Girls LEAD is a specialty component of the Youth Achievers Program designed just for girls and young women ages 8-14 that helps girls deisover thier power to dream, develop skills, plan for the future and the courage and confidence to act on their plans.

    • Boys CLIMB is a specialty component of the Youth Achievers Program designated just for boys and young men ages 8-14 to provide them with the skills, attitudes, and support they need to succeed into adulthood.

  • IMPACT helps youth ages 18-22 to build bright futures. Programming is delivered year-round in three core areas: adademic services, life skills training and work readiness.
