Work With KidsAfter-School and Summer Programs
Assist youth grades K-8 in enhancing their academic skills (math and literacy focus). Use proven techniques and curriculum to improve reading and math abilities and decrease the number of young people who are falling behind in their academic skills. Hours are M-H 2:00-5:00 pm.

In YAP, all kids succeed. The Youth Achievers Program (YAP) involves at-risk youth ages 7-14. Volunteers tutor, lead group activities and offer support and encouragement for behaviorally challenged youth. M-F 2:00-6:00 pm. All day summer.

Child Enrichment Center
Play with kids! Help us provide a safe, nurturing and fun environment for children in our Transitional Housing Program. Play, read, make art and rock babies. Your help gives moms in the program an opportunity to attend workshops and move toward self-sufficiency. Groups welcome! Tuesdays, 6:00-7:00 pm, Thursdays, 6:00-8:00 pm.

Share your expertise and know-how with women in the Transitional Housing Program. Past volunteer-lead workshops include: journaling, child development, health and nutrition, resume writing, relaxation techniques and wardrobe planning. Do you have a special skill or knowledge to share? Workshops are held on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings.
