Outreach Programs & Services YWCA St. Paul Home Page

PhotoOutreach programs provide intervention, stabilization, case management and other supportive services to help families succeed.

With supportive services and ongoing assistance from case managers, families secure housing in the community at sites including: Legacy Management and Development’s University-Dale & Winnipeg apartments and the YWCA’s newest site, Cleveland-Saunders Supportive Housing.

Family Intervention Program (FIP)
FIP strives to eliminate repeat use of emergency shelters. Together with YWCA case managers, families address multiple barriers to success including: domestic violence, chemical dependency, criminal histories and mental health issues. Through intensive and comprehensive stabilization actions, families secure safe, affordable housing in the community.

For more information about FIP, please contact fip@ywcaofstpaul.org

Family Preservation Program (FPP)
FPP strengthens families and helps them avoid the trauma of surrendering children to the foster care system. With support from YWCA case managers, families secure housing in the community and work to build parenting and independent living skills.

For more information about the FPP, please contact fpp@ywcaofstpaul.org.

Family Alternative Response Program (FAR)
FAR is a program of Ramsey County Human Services. Together with Ramsey County Child Protection, the YWCA provides case management and supportive services to families in crisis to lower the level of risk to children and stabilize the family unit. YWCA St. Paul is a service provider in the FAR System Network.

For more information about FAR, please contact Ramsey County Human Services.

Family Community Partnership Program (FCP)
FCP prevents child abuse and neglect among high risk families by connecting them to services and resources that support healthy family development and build their capacity to adequately care for their children. An early intervention program of Ramsey County Department of Human Services, services are provided by the agency selected by the family. YWCA St. Paul is a Family Consulting Agency for the program.

For more information about FCP, please contact Ramsey County Human Services.
